NEX Shopping Mall

Nex shopping mall is the largest mall in North-East Singapore, and one of the largest in the country. The mall has seven floors, including basement and rooftop levels. Nex is right next to a bus station in Serangoon, so accessing the shopping mall through the bus lines is incredibly easy.

Construction for Nex shopping mall broke ground in 2008, and it opened in 2011. It underwent renovations from 2014 to 2015, and the name “Nex” is an abbreviation of “Northeast Exchange” to indicate its location. The mall offers a wide variety of stores, restaurants and services.

Some stores in Nex are open 24 hours a day, but only these parts of the mall remain open all the time. A pedestrian bridge connects the mall with the parking garage, so customers can conveniently walk from their cars to the mall. The rooftop level of the mall has a garden, a playground called KidzPlay, and a dog park called K9 Park. K9 Park is the first dog park within a mall in Singapore. Customers of NEX Shopping Mall who bring their dogs can reach the rooftop through a special elevator. Dogs are not allowed in other areas of the mall.
